Middle School

(Grades 6–8)

Developing scholars, leaders, and confident decision-makers

At New Heights Preparatory Academy, our Middle School Program is designed to prepare students for high school and beyond through academic rigor, character development, and structured expectations.

Serving families throughout West Orange County, including Ocoee, Apopka, Winter Garden, and surrounding Orlando communities, we provide a focused and disciplined environment where students in grades 6–8 grow academically, socially, and personally.

Middle school is a critical stage of development. At New Heights Prep, we intentionally guide students through these years with structure, accountability, and support.

Academic Excellence & Standards-Based Instruction

Our middle school curriculum is built on the McGraw Hill program aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards, ensuring students meet and exceed state academic expectations.

Core academic subjects include:

  • Advanced Reading & Language Arts

  • Mathematics (including Pre-Algebra and Algebra readiness)

  • Science

  • Social Studies

We emphasize:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Academic responsibility and independence

  • Structured classroom discipline

To further enhance academic growth, we incorporate the i-Ready program for diagnostic assessment and differentiated instruction in reading and math. This allows us to track measurable student progress and provide personalized support where needed.
